What is Worker’s Compensation?
Worker’s Compensation Insurance is designed to pay benefits to who have been injured on the job regardless of the negligence on anyone’s part. This means that even if the employee is injured through his/her own negligence, he/she is entitled to benefits and cannot sue the employer.
It provides compensation for medical expenses and lost wages, as well as for full or partial disability. Benefits may continue for as long as the employee is unable to work due to their disability.
Is Worker’s Compensation necessary?
Virtually all employers in New York and New Jersey must provide Worker’s Compensation for their employees. An employer’s failure to provide worker’s compensation coverage is a crime, punishable by fines and/or criminal prosecution.
We can help you find the worker’s compensation policy that is best suited for your company. We work with a variety of insurance companies to ensure that we are giving you a competitive rate.
